It’s been nearly 10 years since the original game released in Japan for the PS3. Replicant is in the same setting as Nier, but alterss the main character into a brother for Yonah instead of being her father.
Platinum Games is not involved in this remaster however. The title is being developed by ToyLogic and published by Square-Enix. At this time, a release date was not shared but it is assumed to be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC before the end of the year.

Our Take
This is incredible news for Nier fans as the original games never released in the Western markets. So with Nier Automata gaining a large fanbase here, it will be a joy to revisit the franchise with Replicant!
