Last week on our Bitcast we talked about EA hinting towards a new Need for Speed title coming and how it could be announced at Gamescom. EA ended up revealing NFS Heat ahead of Gamescom and we fully expect it to have a presence in some form at the convention.
The location seems to be Miami which could be a fun locale. Storywise, it appears to be rendered in CGI vs real life acting as seen in past Need for Speed games. Customization is also back according to the trailer. Heat will be coming to PS4, Xbox and PC on November 8th.
Our Take:
The Need for Speed has needed a bit of an overhaul after the last few lackluster games. We’re hoping this brings something new to the table or it may be the last nail in the coffin for the Need for Speed franchise.
