The PUBG train continues to speed ahead at record pace and as such, the community for PUBG continues to grow just as rapidly.
Just as we reported the Xbox version had passed 3 million players a little over a week ago, PUBG Corp. has announced there are now over 4 million players on the console version of the hit game. To celebrate, all players who log in and create a player prior to January 31st will receive 30,000 Battle Points some time shortly after February 1st. So if you’ve been trying hard to get that cosmetic item of choice, this will certainly up your chances.
More importantly however, is that PUBG is teaming up with Extra Life. The charity whom we’ve reported on in the past, raises money through streamers for network hospitals and medical centers around the country. 100% of the profits go directly to the medical center of choice and it’s very easy to participate or donate. PUBG Corp. will be matching donations, dollar for dollar, up to $300,000.

Our own Porshapwr will be participating and raising donations as well! You can find his page here: Porshapwr’s Extra Life PUBG Page
Our Take
PUBG is firing on all cylinders and then some right now. It continues to take the gaming world by storm both in terms of sales and streaming popularity, it’s growing very quickly on console with the Xbox version, is all over social media, and will now be featured with Extra Life. As we’ve said before, it has taken SG by storm as well and has accounted for a large chunk of our gaming time lately. If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s the time.
And of course, please check out Porshapwr’s Extra Life page and donate if possible. Every little bit helps!
