Crackdown 3 has been in development for a long time and while it was scheduled to release alongside the Xbox One X on November 7th, it seems that fans will have to wait a little while longer. The title was officially delayed by Microsoft this evening and they have formally stated that we will hear more about it at Gamescom.
Our Take
This doesn’t seem like a big deal to us. In fact, given the Fall lineup this seems to make a good deal of sense. Crackdown 3 has the potential to be a very large IP for Xbox so releasing it before it’s 100% ready for prime time would be a bad idea. Combine that with a release window on November 7th that features COD WW2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Mario Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and likely PUBG as well? We’ll see you in the Spring Crackdown. Now it will be interesting to see how Microsoft pushes PUBG on Xbox for the Fall. We’ll likely know more this weekend.
