The beta for COD WW2 begins on August 25th on the PS4 and Sledgehammer Games has given us the details of what we can expect across all platforms. You can find the official post from Sledgehammer here: Sledgehammer WW2 Blog
Some of the details include:
- Maps – At least three Multiplayer maps, including: Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar.
- War – Operation Breakout
- Modes – Fan-favorite modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.
- Divisions – Enlist in the Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, or Mountain Division. You are not limited to any one Division, and we encourage you to try them all!
- Progression – Players will begin at Soldier Rank 1 and rank up through a limited progression to unlock weapons, scorestreaks, equipment, and Basic Training Skills.
Our Take
We’re really looking forward to WW2. We’ve been impressed with what we’ve seen of the title to date and we hope some of the innovations being done for multiplayer create variety and a sense of longevity beyond the standard leveling and unlockables. Only a few weeks till we can all jump in!
