- Weapons and ships have been given rarity ratings and you can now own multiple ships at once.
- Substantial visual updates including PS4 Pro/4K support.
- Photo mode.
- Exocraft races.
- New shops and traders.
- Expanded base building variety.
- New weapon modes.
- Permadeath game mode.

Our Take
We’ve commented on the challenges Hello Games have faced since No Man’s Sky. Without touching on that again, this is a substantial update to NMS and it’s clear that Hello Games is dedicated to expanding the title to eventually meet their original vision for the game. Of course those that benefit the most are fans of the game so we’re happy to see the continued work they are putting in.
