System software update 4.5 for the Playstation 4 was detailed by Sony today and it’s all good news. The update will add external HD support, custom wallpapers, quick menu refresh, 3D Blu-Rays on PS VR, posts on the Activity Feed, and more.

Our Take
This is a substantial and needed update to the Playstation 4 ecosystem. External HD support is fantastic and the other features further expand the capabilities of the OS. Great job Sony.
