Electronic Arts to Skip E3 for “EA Play 2017”

EA announced today that they would once again be skipping E3 to instead produce their own “EA Play 2017” event during E3 weekend.  It will be held from June 10th to June 12th and you can sign up on the EA site to be updated on announcements.  You can do that here:

Our Take

This was expected as some of the major publishers (EA, Ubisoft, and Bethesda) have forgone E3 in the past couple of years to instead present their own portfolio as part of their own official event.  For SG, the more news on new games the better so we’ll be covering EA Play as part of our larger E3 coverage come June!
